Serapian Celebrates Italian Crafts And The 70s’ Sophisticated Milanese Chic
Founded in Milan in 1928 by Stefano Serapian, the luxury leather goods brand quickly became unmissable for the high Milanese society. The brand celebrates Italian craftsmanship, using delicate handmade techniques and the elegance characterized by the Italian style. Since 2017, Serapian has belonged to the Richmont Group. Last week, during the Milano Fashion Week, the brand featured its new FW22/23 Women's collection, honoring the liberated fashion of the 70s. After the 60s that were dedicated to the emancipation of women, the 70s gave way to pacifist demands. This is the decade of freedom and fluidity for the fashion world.

Upon the Milano Fashion Week, Serapian hosted VIP guests and international press to discover its new FW22/23 Collection in their sumptuous showroom at Villa Mozart, located at the beating heart of the Fashion Capital City. Cameranesi Pompili’s design studio has beautifully decorated the showroom to recreate a splendid living room atmosphere, blended with exclusive artworks from the Italian art collector Tommaso Calabro.

Fashion icons such as Olivia Palermo and her husband Johannes Huebl, brand ambassadors, came to celebrate this new collection.
Serapian unveils a unique blend of casual elegance and flawless crafts, enhanced by a cozy color palette, smooth geometries, and new soft materials.
Among the most famous models of the Milanese house: is the Mosaico range, whose design is inherited from a bag created in 1947 and disclosed new feminine shades such as azure or bordeaux. The Mosaico models owe their name to a skillful interplay of leather forming diamond-shaped patterns. The skins used by the house are exceptionally soft, with unparalleled quality. Each bag from the Mosaico range is signed with the craftsman’s name who made it. It is a way to praise the work of these men and women with excellent know-how. The remarkable collection is a tribute to the seventies, which initially gave birth to the house’s iconic Secret bag.

For the occasion, Serapian redefined some of its iconic pieces with a precious shearling in a snow-white tone that remembers the slopes of St-Moritz. The versatility of shearling perfectly matches leather details and Mosaico touches, another way to prove Serapian’s knack for intense softness.
Since 1928, Serapian’s mission has been to offer elevated art and presents a selection of small, one-of-a-kind bags embroidered and enriched by feathers, precious crystals, and sequins from Italian Haute Couture workshops to highlight the uniqueness of the Mosaico crafts.

Serapian steps towards sustainability. The brand presents a capsule collection where you’ll find the Secret bag in a tanned vegetable calf and recycled cotton for the lining, magnified by contrast saddle stitching.
