Manapany Hotel Is The Essence Of Our Intimate St. Barths

N

estled on the seafront in Anse des Cayes, the Hotel Manapany Saint-Barth is the first 5-star eco-resort on the island of human size, which offers a unique experience. With an area of only 21 km2, Saint Barth lies in the extreme north-east of the Caribbean Sea. Christopher Columbus gave it its name, and David Rockefeller gave it a reputation. Saint-Barth, for the intimate, is a rock where a corner of paradise is hidden. For seasoned travelers, it is an island of the French West Indies, among others, but so dear to my heart.

The Manapany Hotel was inaugurated in March 2018 after a total renovation initiated by the new owner, Madame Jousse. It belongs to the establishments of the B Signature Hotels collection. In this family hospitality group, mother and daughter Anne and Agathe Jousse, united by their passion for the hotel industry, reign over a well-kept hotel empire and own seven establishments between Saint-Barth, Paris, and La Baule (Brittany).

Anne Jousse, deeply attached to Saint-Barth for thirty years, wished to make the Hotel Manapany an exceptional place where we can find the authentic soul of the island. A cherished place where travelers looking for a change of scenery mingle with the locals who come to spend a good time around the turquoise pool, followed by a delicious lunch the feet in the sand, with local dishes such as sweet potato accras and fresh lobster salad or tuna tartare freshly caught by local fishermen.

Nature is at the heart of the requirements of the 5-star eco-resort. The objective was to restore to the Hotel Manapany the essence of Saint-Barth, highlighting the island’sisland’s exceptional natural beauty through the elegance of a domain rooted in respect for nature—a real return to the roots. In testimony to its eco-responsible commitment and sustainable tourism, the Manapany Hotel obtained the Green Key label at the end of 2021. Its philosophy is based on an absolute respect for the environment and its wild side in a setting of majestic nature and relaxed luxury.

Manapany Hotel has 43 rooms, suites, and villas hidden between the tropical rainforest and the ocean. It embodies simplicity, elegance, and discreet refinement. In this enchanting setting, the island of the French West Indies offers an original emotion to the guests, who enjoy the benefits of a preserved paradise.

Each room and suite at Manapany Hotel has its own personality. Still, all have a king-size bed (or twin layout), a private terrace, a courtesy tray with tea and coffee, a mini-bar, B Signature hospitality products, air conditioning, high-speed Wi-Fi, and a shower or bathtub.

The restaurant, located directly on the sand, and the bar, facing the sea, combine local colors and flavors in their captivating cocktails. The kitchen makes the most of the island’s nature. The restaurant, with 60 seats overlooking the Caribbean Sea, is supervised by chef Anthony Martel, who goes beyond borders to embrace other culinary delights. The Chef also uses Caribbean vegetables, fruits, and herbs from the hotel’s garden.

Unmissable events punctuate the weeks at the Manapany Hotel, such as the enchanting “Chill Out” evenings on the beach around campfires, accompanied by live music. On Sundays, for lunch, a musical barbecue takes place with an authentic and inventive menu featuring a spit porchetta and lobster tails.

Manapany Spa offers treatments and products by Dr. Hauschka. Imagine a massage with the soothing sound of waves or a moment of absolute relaxation at the spa pool, more intimate, facing the Caribbean sea. The Manapany Spa also offers holistic therapies, honoring the local heritage while integrating modern treatments and exclusive brand protocols.
