CHANEL Takes Over Monte-Carlo For Its Cruise 2022/23 Collection

C

HANEL celebrates its Cruise Collection 2022/23 in the beautiful Principality of Monaco. Gabrielle Chanel first visited the select capital city of the French Riviera in the 1910s and started offering its customers lightweight and comfortable designs for various sunny destinations. The CHANEL Cruise collection show used to be revealed in exotic and iconic places. Virginie Viard selected herself the perfect place to honor and revive the historical link between CHANEL and Monaco at the Monte-Carlo Beach hotel, a step away from the mythical Villa La Vigie. CHANEL praises a love story of more than a century between the luxury fashion house and Monaco.

Only two days before the awaited show, CHANEL unveiled the place elected to present the cruise collection 2022/23. The Chanel team has been working hard to get ready and surprise exclusive guests, clients, international celebrities, friends, the family of CHANEL, and the press for this special occasion for two weeks. The news has become viral and unmissable in the principality of Monaco. 5-5-22 has been the resolutely fashion Rendez-vous of the year, extraordinarily glamorous and chic.

CHANEL chose to bet on a simple but exclusive setting at the Beach Club of the Monte-Carlo Beach hotel. Guests were greeted on the emblematic pontoon of the principality, decorated with tents along the hotel’s sandy beach to admire the show.
Ambassadors and friends of the House Kristen Stewart, Sofia Coppola, Charlotte Casiraghi, G-Dragon, Tilda Swinton, Vanessa Paradis, Carole Bouquet, Khadja Nin, Caroline de Maigret, and Abd Al Malik attended the CHANEL Cruise 2022/23 show. The collection by Virginie Viard explores the coastal inspirations and cosmopolitan elegance of the French Riviera, writing a new chapter in the shared history of Monaco and CHANEL.

All eyes were on the gorgeous top models of CHANEL, such as Loli Bahia, that opened the show in a sumptuous red and white tweed cotton jumpsuit. Among the 67 stunning models paraded and sublimated the looks imagined by Virginie Viard, we spotted Iman Perez, Louise de Chevigny, Cris Herrmann, Vittoria Ceretti, but last and not least, the lovely in-house model Amanda Sanchez. She wore a very poetic and romantic white dress with transparent veilings.
Inspired by the cosmopolitan beach lifestyle of Monte-Carlo, the collection reveals dazzling monochrome ensembles for day and night in graphic portraits and candid snapshots that survey the idyllic waters of the Côte d’Azur. Twisting the essential codes of CHANEL, Virginie Viard riffs on summer sports with tennis-inspired bags, tweed baseball caps, and sparkling tees.

The spirit of Monte Carlo is omnipresent in this Cruise Collection with nice winks of eyes at the Monaco Grand Prix, with F1 helmets in minaudière and red and white looks that recall the Monaco flag.

The elegance and allure of the house operate once again.
Feminine and sporty touches are well combined, creating a graphic contrast to the collection’s coastal mood, swimsuits, and light, quilted racing ensembles channel the timeless magnetism of CHANEL black and white. Hearts, shells, and nautical double C chain motif add a playful seaside spirit to the innate elegance of black and white.
